A Few Things You Didn’t Know Hostwinds Offered

We have great news for all of our current and future clients! That news is the addition of new features that enable clients to manage their accounts with much more ease. At Hostwinds, we constantly strive to be a leader in the technological advancements of the web hosting world, so we hope that our newly added features do just that.

We are excited to now offer cacti graphs and the function of resetting your dedicated server or VPS. So now, let's take a tour of how to access the features.

Step 1: Go to https://www.hostwinds.com/ and at the top right corner of the page, click "Client Login" and log in using your client information.

Step 2: Once you log in, you will see a lime green bar with the options, "Home", "Services", "Domains", "Billing", "Support", "Open Ticket", "Affiliates" and "Extras". Click "Services".

Step 3: Once you click "Services", a darker green drop-down menu will appear below with the options, "My Services", "Order New Services", "Order Additional Services" and "View Available Addons". Click "My Services".

Step 4: Once you click, "My Services", you are brought to a page that lists your products and services with Hostwinds. At the end of each product or service, is a blue button that says, "View Details", click that button on the product or service of your choice.

Step 5: Once you click, "View Details", you will see a menu bar with the actions, "Information", "Change Your Password", "Addons" and "Management Actions". Click "Management Actions".

Step 6: A drop-down menu will appear and click "Management".

Step 7: Once you click "Management," you are brought to a page with different functions and information about your product or service. At the top of that page is the button for resetting your VPS or dedicated server.

When you scroll to the bottom of that same page, depending upon your product or service, you will see cacti graphs that show you things such as Incoming and Outgoing Traffic for your site,

Memory Usage

and Average Load Time

To reboot your dedicated server, complete steps 1 through 4, as stated above, but choose "View Details" for the dedicated server you would like to reboot. You will again see the menu bar with the actions "Information," "Change Your Password," "Addons," and "Management Actions." Click "Information."

Once you click "Information," scroll to the bottom of the screen, where you will see a cacti graph with a button right above it that says, "Reboot." Click "Reboot," and in an instant, your dedicated server is rebooted.
