All about Mark first. He has been a Support Technician at Hostwinds since February 2015, and loves every minute of it. Mark is extremely caring and tech minded. He loves helping others in any facet of life, not just web hosting. Mark graduated from TCC with his Associates in Applied Science for Electrical Engineering and is currently seeking his Bachelor Degree from OSU in the same field. He is a self-motivated man, always looking for ways to help and and go above and beyond to help anyone he can.

Now, Get to know Mark G for yourself:

1. How long have you worked for Hostwinds and what is your current position?
Support Technician, I have worked here since February of 2015. Loving every minute of it.

2. If you could have one superpower what would it be?
Super-Speed, run so fast, people can’t see you, (invisibility), being able to multi-task, actually being able to do chores around the house in a timely manner. So many uses. Just got to worry about running into bugs.

3. If you could trade places with any other person for a week, whom would it be?
Elon Musk, the modern Tesla, He has money, runs Spacex, and wants the future now.

4. If you were a Star Trek® or Star Wars® character, which one would it be?

The Emperor — “Unlimited Power”.

5. What does family mean to you?
My friends are my Family, those who are there for you in your darkest hour, and your happiest moments.

6. If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three things would you have and why?
     1. A water Evaporator. 2. A transceiver, used to bounce signals off the moon. 3. A hand crank dynamo to power the transceiver.

7. What is your least favorite thing about humanity?
     War.

8. If you could live anywhere in the world where would you live?
Anywhere I could make my own country.

9. Where and when would you travel in a time machine?
The far future anywhere mankind has traveled.

10. What is your Favorite Book and why?
It’s a split between Ender’s Game and Slaughterhouse 5. Ender’s game taught me patience and pacifism through the genocide of an entire species.      Slaughterhouse 5 taught me some things in life we cannot control — “So it goes”.

Now, allow me to introduce you to John L, who has been working for Hostwinds as a Support Technician for 10 months now. He is a quiet, pretty reserved gentleman, who is also a bit camera shy. His home is his retreat, with all of his entertainment at his disposal right there. Hostwinds has increased his natural thirst for technological knowledge, which leads him to spending a lot of his spare time learning more about the wide world of web hosting. He is a very kind man and always doing his best to make sure everyone around him is happy. His laugh radiates throughout the office and is contagious. He is a firm believer in “Stay sharp and improve your position”and it shows in the work that he does. He is indeed sharp and working hard for all of our customer family.

Get to know John for yourself now:

John Low1. How long have you worked for Hostwinds and what is your current position?
I have been with Hostwinds for 10 months. I am a support technician.

2. If you could have one superpower what would it be?
I would want cartoon style pockets, or perhaps the brains to match Bruce Wayne.

3. What is your favorite movie?
My favorite movie is Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.

4. What was the last gift you gave someone?
An office desk plaque, ” Desk of the 404″.

5. If you could live anywhere in the world where would you live?
If given the choice of any place in the world, I would choose Kansas City, MO.

6. Peter Holden walks into your office and says you can have a million dollars to launch your best entrepreneurial idea. What is it?
That would be either a board, or video game I developed.

7. If you were a Star Trek® or Star Wars® character, which one would it be?
I could see myself as either a smarter version of Kirk, or a lone Jedi Knight.

8. If you were a car, what kind would you be?
I would either be the next Knight Industries concept, or a transformer. That way I can still talk sass and help save people.

9. Which of the two animals would you say you are most like, a sheep or a wolf, and why?
I would be more Wolf than sheep. I do not herd, or band up with a large group. I am also more free spirited. I do not follow much of the goings on in      social life.

10. If you were an animated character, who would you be and why?
I would be torn to be either Donatello, or Batman. Both are able to create new devices on a whim. I often thought that was humanly possible to just crank out new machines without much, if any time. Bugs bunny could be another fun option. It was fun to watch him outwit those who wished him harm.

As you can see by the recent blogs about our support team here, our Hostwinds work family is just as diverse as the world we live in and the clients we serve. We care for and respect one another as well as our customer family. We go above and beyond for all of our family members. We service everyone, worldwide, no matter where you are living or the size of the project and we love every moment of what we do! We are happy to serve 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
