Israel Threatened by Hacker Cyber-Terrorism

The anti-Israeli hacker group known as “Anonymous Operation Israel” has posted a video calling on it’s fellow hackers to launch “cyber-terrorism” attacks against the country today, according to an article published on The Jerusalem Post website. The article indicates that the group called on “cyber warriors from across the planet” to use multiple methods to unleash havoc on the country. As the article notes, this is not the first time this group has thrown a punch at the nation and left evidence of damage.

The group’s statement in the YouTube video was quoted in the article to say, “On April 7, 2014, we call upon our brothers and sisters to hack, deface, hijack, database leak, admin takeover, and DNS terminate the Israeli Cyberspace by any means necessary.” The article confirmed that at this time last year, Anonymous Operation Israel attempted a similar attack with “limited success” by disrupting “Israeli websites, including that of Yad Vashem, the Prime Minister’s Office, and the Israel Defense Forces website.” At the time, the Finance Ministry reported, “As of midday, Israeli government websites are accessible to the public, as they were for the entire weekend“, according to the article.
