AT&T announced that they would be first offering customers in Austin, Texas, their GigaPower broadband service in December. According to a recent article posted by Silicon Hills News, the service provider will initially launch this product to "tens of thousands" throughout Austin.
The article states that the GigaPower service will "initially have upload and download speeds of up to 300 Mbps, and those customers will be able to upgrade to 1 Gigabit per second speeds in mid-2014." It is also the plan of AT&T to expand its high-speed service to additional customers, both individual and business, in 2014, according to this report.
