Adding a backup solution to your Shared or Business Hosting account with Hostwinds is simple to do and will provide you with up to three hundred and sixty four days worth of backups that you can restore at anytime. This can be very useful if you make changes to your website, if your website gets hacked, if something important gets deleted that needs to be restored from a backup right away, or if you just want to have a piece of mind that your data is available for you to restore at anytime.
New Clients
Step One: You can add Shared Backups to your Shared Hosting or Business Hosting from the Checkout page when you first order your service. Just check the box to add this to your web hosting service

Existing Clients
Step One: Login to your account at https://clients.hostwinds.com
Step Two: Click on the Manage Button next to any of your Shared Hosting or Business Hosting web hosting services

An Active Shared Hosting or Business Hosting services is required
Step Three: Click on Add Ons on the left navigation bar

Step Four: Select Web Hosting Shared Backups from the Addons & Extras drop down menu

Step Five: Click the Purchase & Activate button
New Clients (Alternative Method)
Step One: Login to your account at https://clients.hostwinds.com
Step Two: Click on the Services navigation link and select View Available Addons from the drop down menu

Step Three: Scroll down the page until you see the Shared Backups area
Step Four: Select the Shared Hosting or Business Hosting domain name associated with your account

Step Five: Click the Purchase & Activate button
You are provided direct access to your backed up data after the first backup is completed. You can access your backups at any time
