Our policy is to issue refunds for services when possible under our 60 Day Money Back Guarantee and process them as the original payment method. However, as Skrill/MoneyBookers and Cryptocurrency are non-refundable they would be issued back as an Account Credit.
What Is the 60 Day Money Back Guarantee?
The 60 Day Money Back Guarantee is a way to get a quick taste of how one of our hosting products works so you can make a decision on whether or not you want to make a bigger commitment. The below is a direct paste of the 60 Day Money Back Guarantee from our Terms of Service
“Clients qualify for our 60 Day Money Back Guarantee as long as the service or product is canceled within the first 60 days of usage. In order to receive a refund we must receive a request for a refund through a ticket within 30 days of the service being canceled. If the Client is in their second month, they are only entitled to receive a refund for that month. Clients are only eligible for refunds on the first product purchased from Hostwinds. Clients may not receive refunds for additional products ordered after the first product. Hostwinds reserves the right to refuse refunds to Clients who are using Hostwinds servers for any kind of mining (Example: Bitcoin). Payments made using BitCoin and Skrill as the payment method are not eligible for refunds”
Important Note: The only time we guarantee a refund is via the 60 Day Money Back Guarantee, outside of that typically payments are non-refundable per the “Payments” section of our Terms of Service which states the below:
“All fees are non-refundable when paid unless otherwise stated.”
What Products can be Refunded?
The 60 Day Money Back Guarantee allows you to get a refund for the following services:

- Business Hosting
- Reseller Hosting
- VPN Hosting
What Services Can’t Be Refunded?
The services listed below would be non-refundable even if they were the first service ordered at Hostwinds :
- Software Licenses
- Services Performed
- VPS Hosting of any kind
- IP Addresses
- Product Upgrades
- Dedicated Servers
- Product add-ons of any kind
- Account Credit
- Any product that is Billed Hourly
How do I Request a Refund?
You will need to first cancel your service through the Client Area, within the first 60 days. If your cancellation is completed within the first 30 days you can receive a refund for the whole first 30 days. If you are in your second month of service when you cancel you will receive a refund for that month.
After you have canceled you will need to create a separate ticket to Billing requesting a refund, they will address it in the order it is received and if they determine a refund can be granted they will issue one to you.
- Hostwinds does not issue refunds through Cryptocurrency or Skrill. If you were to purchase a service using either of those payment methods and qualify for a refund, said refund would be issued as an Account Credit.
- If you forget a to cancel a service and it renews and you are outside of the 60 Day Money Back Guarantee we would not be able to refund you.
