This License is only usable for Hostwinds Cloud VPSs or Dedicated Servers, and cannot be used elsewhere. As a result, you would then have full access to WHM to create up to the number of cPanel accounts your license covers. For an overview of what cPanel can offer you can review their demo page to see if this is needed for your server.

How to Access cPanel/WHM?

Once you have purchased the License, you can set the IP for the server you wish to add it to when you purchase it. If you did not set the IP when purchased, it will need to be activated for you.

If you had set the IP when you purchased the license, it should be assigned to the server already. The only other thing you may need to do is login to your server to update your license key. You can do so via SSH or through the Get VNC command in your Cloud Control Portal, and run the following command.

/usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt

You can also request us to activate the Hostwinds cPanel License for you as well. This is typically be done for you by opening a ticket with our support team.

Once the Hostwinds cPanel License is active you should be able to access your cPanel/WHM.
