Change Root MySQL Password in Virtualmin

In Virtualmin, you can change the root MySQL password through the very user friendly GUI at any time. Of course, you’ll need to have Virtualmin installed and be logged into Virtualmin with Webmin access. How do I change the root MySQL password in Virtualmin?

This can be achieved by following a very simple process, which is outlined for you below:

 

  1. Click on the Webmin section
  2. Click on the Servers option
  3. Select the MySQL Database Server module

  1. Select Change Administration Password

 

 

 

  1. Enter in the new password into the New password field
  2. Re-enter the password into the Repeat password field
  3. When you’re satisfied with the password that you have entered, click the Change Now button
