How to Locate and Access the Webmin Command Shell

The Webmin Command Shell allows you to execute commands that you’d normally need to login into your server via SSH to utilize. This article will teach you how to locate and use the Webmin Command Shell. You’ll need to have Virtualmin installed on your server, plus be logged in with Webmin access. How do I find and use the Webmin Command Shell?

To locate the Webmin Command Shell, please refer to the following steps:

 

  1. Click on the Webmin section
  2. Click on the Others option
  3. Select the Command Shell module

  1. Enter in the command that you want to execute in the Execute command text field
    1. For the purpose of this guide, we’ll be using df -h
  2. When you’re satisfied with the command that you’ve entered, click the Execute command button

  1. Once the command is done executing, you’ll see the output of the command
    1. For our example command (df -h) the output is as follows:
