Getting Started as an Affiliate with Hostwinds

Welcome to Hostwinds' Affiliate Program! We offer you the opportunity to earn money by referring new clients to Hostwinds. In this tutorial, we'll provide an overview of our affiliate program and show you how to get started.

The Basics

Our affiliate program pays you to advertise Hostwinds on your website, blog, social media, or other platforms. You'll receive a unique referral link that you can share with your audience. If someone clicks your link and signs up for a Hostwinds service (such as web hosting, VPS, or dedicated server), you'll earn a commission.

Here are some key points to keep in mind:

• We pay you only for new clients who sign up and purchase hosting services, and who keep their account active for at least 60 days.
• We don't pay for sign-ups without purchase, existing clients adding services, service renewals, domain registrations, or other non-hosting related products.
• You'll need to figure out how to advertise and get referrals on your own. We offer some guides to help you, but this isn't a "get rich quick" scheme.

Getting Started

To become an affiliate, you'll need to sign up for an account on our affiliate portal. Once you're approved, you'll get a unique referral link that you can share with your audience. Whenever someone clicks your link, a cookie will be set in their browser that lasts for 60 days.

If the person creates a new Hostwinds account and signs up for hosting, VPS, or dedicated server within those 60 days, you'll receive a commission. Our affiliate team will review the referrals in your account each month to determine if they're valid.

Setting Up Your Account

To create an account with the Hostwinds Affiliate program, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Hostwinds Affiliate page (https://www.hostwinds.com/affiliates) and click on the "Join Now" button.
2. Fill out the registration form with your personal information, including your name, email address, and preferred password.
3. Provide information about your website or other marketing channels that you plan to use to promote Hostwinds.
4. Agree to the program's terms and conditions.
5. Submit your application for approval.

Once your application is approved, you will receive an email with instructions on how to access your affiliate dashboard, where you can generate affiliate links, view your earnings, and manage your account.

Earning Commissions

To earn a commission, the referred client must meet the following criteria according to our Affiliates Terms of Service. Additionally, customers may reference our Affiliate Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).
