Webmail is the online email client that cPanel users can load.  The client comes with three pre-loaded webmail clients that allow you to read webmail directly from cPanel itself or your browser: Roundcube, Horde, and SquirrelMail.

How Do I Setup My Webmail On cPanel?

To set up Webmail, you'll need first to have an existing email account created.  If you haven't done this yet, you can review this guide for creating new email accounts.

How Do I Read Webmail From cPanel?

Once you have an account, you'll be able to access Webmail in multiple ways.  The first is through the cPanel >> Email Accounts section, and next to the specific email you want access to.  Make sure to select the Email Accounts tab at the top and select Access Webmail.  (If you need help creating an email account in cPanel, please see "How do I add email accounts in cPanel?")

The first time you sign in, you'll be prompted to pick one of the following Webmail applications: Roundcube, Horde, or SquirrelMail. Choose the application you like to begin sending and receiving emails.  (If you would like to understand the differences between these 3 choices, click here)

If you don't like the email client you chose to use, it can be changed.  To change the Webmail interface, click on your Username in the upper right portion of the screen and select one of the top 3 options. As of cPanel & WHM version 74, SquirrelMail will be deprecated, one of our bundled webmail applications.

The second way to access Webmail through cPanel is by selecting the Default Email Account.  Next to that account, you'll see the link for "Access Webmail." Please note that this method will only provide access to the default email address.

How Do I Access Webmail From A URL?

To access Webmail outside of cPanel directly, you can do it several ways from specific URLs:

  1. https://yourdomainname.com:2096/   (Once there, you can enter your login information, username, and password to access)
  2. https://yourdomainname.com/webmail   (Once there, you can enter your login information, username, and password to access)
  3. https://yourservername:2096
  4. https://yourservername/webmail
  5. https://yourDedicatedIPAddress:2096
  6. https://yourDedicatedIPAddress/webmail

Replace "_yourdomainname. com_" with your website name and extension, "_yourservername_" with the full server name, and/or "_yourDedicatedIPAddress_" with your accounts Dedicated IP Address.
