How to Upgrade Perl Modules in Virtualmin

Tags: Virtualmin

In another article, we cover How to View Existing Perl Modules in Virtualmin. However, using the Existing module's interface, you can also upgrade Perl modules at your discretion. This guide will show you how to do just that. Please note that you'll need to have Virtualmin installed with Webmin access before proceeding. If you're not certain how to do either of these things, please refer to the following guides.

Let's take a look at how to upgrade Perl modules:

  1. Click on the Webmin section
  2. Click on the Others option
  3. Click on the Perl Modules module
  1. Select the Existing modules tab
  2. This will reveal a list of currently installed Perl Modules.
  1. Select the checkbox next to the module(s) that you'd like to upgrade
    1. For this guide, we will be selecting Sub::Exporter
  2. Once you're satisfied with your selection(s), scroll to the bottom of the interface and click the Upgrade Modules button

That's it! The selected module(s) should now be upgraded and ready for you to use.
