Hostwinds accepts Alipay for eligible invoice payments, new orders, and automatic service renewals where available.
Alipay is only available when accessing the Hostwinds Client Area, the checkout cart, or the invoice from an IP address in China. If needed, customers should also confirm that their country is set to China within their Hostwinds account profile.
New customers who wish to pay with Alipay may select Alipay as the payment method during checkout. Existing customers may also use Alipay by selecting it as the payment option on an eligible invoice.
When Alipay is selected as a payment method for the first time, you will be redirected to Alipay to complete the payment and approve the Alipay Billing Agreement. Once completed, an Alipay Billing Agreement ID will be added to your Hostwinds account.
To manage your Alipay Billing Agreement:
Hostwinds keeps only one Alipay Billing Agreement ID on file. Because of this, customers should ensure their most current Alipay agreement is active and available to help avoid interruption to subscription-based services upon renewal.
An Alipay Billing Agreement allows Hostwinds to automatically charge your Alipay account for eligible recurring invoices where Alipay automatic payments are supported.
If you want Alipay used for eligible automatic renewals, make sure your Alipay Billing Agreement is active and that Alipay is selected as your primary payment method in your Hostwinds account.
Customers can review or cancel their Alipay Billing Agreement from the Manage Alipay Agreements section under the Billing dropdown in the Hostwinds Client Area.
To use Alipay for eligible automatic billing, ensure it is set as your primary payment method.
To update your primary payment method:
Your selected payment method will be used for eligible future automatic billing attempts where supported.
To manually pay an unpaid invoice using Alipay:
Once the payment is confirmed, the invoice should be marked as paid.
Alipay payments may fail for several reasons, including:
If an Alipay payment fails, please return to the unpaid invoice and attempt payment again. You may also choose another supported payment method.
If Alipay is not shown as an available payment option, confirm that you are accessing the Client Area, checkout cart, or invoice from an IP address in China and that your account profile country is set to China.
If payments continue to fail, please review your Alipay account or contact Alipay for additional details regarding the decline.
To avoid suspension or service interruption:
If a payment fails and an invoice remains unpaid, the related service may become overdue and subject to suspension or termination in accordance with Hostwinds' billing policies.
Failed renewal payments may result in the suspension or termination of active hosting services, including services that contain customer data, which may be permanently deleted.
